Its Vaction time..... WTF!

Most people already know of the presidents choice to skip memorial day. A lot of people think that it is no big deal. I disagree with them. Why you may ask I will tell you ( even if you don't ask ) . First off he is the president of the USA . That job has some good points and some bad points. A good point is you get remembered through out history. Our current Commander in Chief has the double honor of not only being the president but also being the first African American president for that I applaud him. I did not vote for him. His color had nothing to do with it his policies did. But that is neither here nor there. He is president now and that is that. However being president has some really shitty hours 24 hour days 168 hour work weeks. When you become president that is the job you take. It seems that Mr Obama forgot that. As president you bend your life to the job. No I don't expect him to stay awake for 168 a week he can sleep. But if a need arises for him he needs to take his place in his office and do his job. A part of that job is to respect those who you command . Mr Obama is the commander in Chief of the finest group of fighting men and women this world knows. How does he show his respect for their sacrifices? He tells the to lump it so he can take a day off. Not a big deal to many because not that many people to day have family dying in the battle zone. Their was a time not to long ago when everyone was affected by war and its cost. It was call WWII , Korea and the Vietnam war. You may not know off hand many people over their , but think back a few years. I will name a few in my life . My father was in the Vietnam war. My step father was in the Korean War . My uncle was in the Korean War. My Uncle was shot several times and has 3 purple hearts . He suffers chronic back pain from the wounds he got for our country. I have a nephew fighting for our freedom right now. On my wife's side Two uncles fought in the Vietnam war. She also has a cousin who is a career soldier . My wife's grandfather fought in world war 2 he was in quite a few major marine battles before tb took him out of the war. This is the history of my family. take a closer look at yours. I was lucky none of my family died. Look at your history there are people there who deserve respect for the time they spent away from there family's for us. They fight and die and for what history will not remember their names. But wait what about the medal of honor recipients??? We must remember them right? Wrong, how many can you name??? So few get the respect they deserve Audy Murphy is one that will be remember by more then war buffs. How many of our generation remember him? What about Sgt. York ? No not Gary Copper . The real Sgt York. In one of his exploits he and his seven men marched 132 German soldiers back to the American lines. That is not a typo 132. How many remember him? What of all the others? One day a year one little day we all stand together White, Black, Hispanic and all the rest that call ourselves Americans to thank those who gave all. Gave their ALL! Not just their vacation time ALL. Every breath. Every kiss from a loved one. Every moment with their children , if they had them . The chance to have kids if they didn't . The chance to see grandkids. Or just the chance to see another day . They gave all . And for that sacrifice our president Mr Obama found that a few days off was more important. Let me ask this question if your son or daughter spent their time studying. Not playing around studying. Made the honor role was to graduate with honors and on that one day that was to be so importance to them. When they dressed in their finest and walked the isle to get their diploma. When they got to the stage their was just a pile of diplomas with a note that said " Sorry it was such a nice day went fishing " would you be pissed? Would you call for that principle to be fired ? I would find that person and beat them to a bloody pulp but that is just me. I think that all of us would be angered , but wait how many of use today say "oh he needed a break" or "it is just one day a year any way" or maybe a little more calloused " their dead what do they know?" The respect shown is not just for the person who died but also for the people who live. What does that mean? For all the children who grow up not knowing their Mom or Dad who died , for all the spouses who must live on with out the one that they loved with their all. The respect is for them too , it is a way of telling them that we as American's are grateful for what they did and what they are doing with out for us. When you look at this from a point of loss things turn a different color. They turn from a slight tone of disrespect to full blown case of what you didn't matter to us. Well I am here to say that Our current president may not want to respect those who fought and fight for us . But I and many Americans like me say thank you to those that can hear and cry for those that can not hear. I am grateful for everyone that signed up under their own free will to serve and those who had no choice but were told to fight. We should honor them everyday not just one.
THANK YOU FOR FIGHTING . THANK FOR DYING. THANK YOU FOR THE LOSS OF TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY . THANK YOU FROM EVERY FIBER OF MY BEING. WE WOULD NOT BE HERE IF YOU HAD NOT GONE THERE. GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS LIVE AND DEAD. GOD BLESS THE FAMILY'S OF OUR TROOP.
